Very simple question regarding the water pressure gauge on a Greenstar i25 erp boiler. I went to view a property for sale today and noticed that the pressure gauge was showing 0. The boiler itself was working (heating and hot water) but can someone please confirm my thoughts which are that the pressure gauge should always show the system pressure? Thanks

Don't these boilers have a low water level (derived or otherwise0 trip, assuming PG OK?

But surely, if there is 0 pressure then the boiler wouldn't work (hot water and heating both function)

Thats why you should top it up, just top it up a little in case its the PG itself thats "broken" or blocked, if it doesn't start rising within a few seconds then stop topping up, if it does start increasing then increse it to 1.0bar (cold) which will prove that there is no boiler protection or if so, its not working.

Thanks John. At the moment I don't own the property (am looking to purchase) but I noticed the problem when viewing. I'm speaking with the estate agent today and will raise it as an issue that needs to be addressed.

Thanks Frankie. The seller of the property has agreed to rectify the problem but I will keep your link for future reference.
