Hello,

I have dug my footings to the sizes that I need to build a conservatory.
I need to fill in 2.7 yrds3
With a mix of 6-1 ballast to cement how much of each will I need to fill my footings?

thanks for any help

2.7 cubic yards is a little over 2m3, so you will need 4 tonnes of ballast and 26 x 25kg bags of cement.

Thankyou,
Will I need to put hard core (type1) and sharp sand at the bottom for a good bed to pour the concrete on to?

I'm building on clay. Does that make a difference as I was advised to lay sand and h/core first? My trench is 450m/m wide *600m/m deep.

The person that gave you this advice has not the first clue.

If there happens to be a bit of water in the trench then mix the first lot semi dry then fill with regular concrete.

If there happens to be a lot of water in the trench then bail it out then do the above.
