Hey Guys and Gals
I once again need your help please! :D
Basically I have a Y plan system, with a Danfoss digital timer. Now everything is only 6 months old and worked fine yesterday.

The hot water is on the Danfoss timer and we previously just set the central heating to come on when ever it got cold manually (by pressing the button to constant).

So the Danfoss had started the Hot water(timed) and it was working away, we pressed the button to put the central heating on constant and walked away, then the central heating starting turning itself off and on (the unit made a clicking buzzing noise) bit worried we turned the water off and the central heating off. Then I pressed the button again for central heating and with the hot water off it came on fine??!
So now we have a real problem we can only have hot water on when heating is off or vice versa?! whats the problem?

I have read all the instructions and the only sympton which remotely matches mine is that there is a switch on the back on of the unit which switches from fully pumped to gravity. I have no idea which system I have, but it is set to gravity.

I do have a pump, but the water storage is in the loft with a tank upstairs in a cuboard.

HELP!! Whats up with the system, why has it gone crazy all of a sudden??!
How can I fix it?

Thanks, look forward to your replies

you say you have a y plan. That is a fully pumped system. He probably forgot to set the switch when the timer was fitted. Try it, it will probably solve your problem if the system is wired correctly.

Ok tried it and its still doing the same. Looking at it, it may just be a Y plan wiring system, Not sure.

I have a pump in the airing cuboard with Mid position valve and the tank)the one with the jacket on) and up in the loft a hot water tank and a cold water tank.

Does this help?
Whats up with it then???

Someone else on here may have the answer . I can only suggest you get the installer back. Either the programmer is faulty or it's not been installed correctly.

If I remember correctly the first dip switch is fully pumped or gravity.

Try pressing the reset button on the front.
