Hello, I'm newly registered today. Desperate for help please. Advice from professionals would be really really appreciated. I have just decorated my hall stairs and landing. Took weeks. Have had half height panelling fitted by a joiner, new architraves, coving, skirting. Was about to paint everywhere when my other half said the lining paper wasn't good enough and we got a pro in to re-line everywhere. He used Wallrock (I might be wrong with that name). I was going to use Farrow and Ball paint as I love their colours, but went for the cheaper option and got Crown Trade mixed to the nearest RAL colour to the shade FandB call Railings. Matt on the walls. Eggshell on the new panelling. PROBLEM - the matt on the walls shows every mark, even if I just brush my fingertips against it. The eggshell is waaay too shiny, looks like gloss. I need to re-do it all. QUESTION - what paint do I use? What's hard wearing, possibly wipe-able for the walls. And what paint for the panelling? Can I sand down the eggshell & paint a matt paint on it? Thank you
