I am replacing an old shower mixer tap with new. When the old is removed it will leave 1/2 inch threaded ends which will need fixing to 22mm tails on the new. I will be using flexible pipe/hose whatever to make this connection. What do I ask for.......................!!

Help for beginner with pipe sizes

Cut the pipe back, which is presumably 15mm?
, then use something like this which is pushfit:
http://www.screwfix.com/app/sfd/cat/pro.jsp?cId=101316&ts=52002&id=28075
Or use one of these which has a 15mm compression end. If you remove the compression nut the thread will be 1/2" bsp parallel male, which will go in your present fitting if you use lots of ptfe tape.
