I have a Vaillant boiler. I has been working until recently. It has not been on for a few months.

I can get the pilot light to work and, when I turn on the hot water tap or the central heating, I can hear some water flow in the system and a few click noises. However, it does not ignite gas.

I am urgently looking for someone with experience of these boilers to come over, fix it, and provide a safety certificate.

I am in Gravesend.

I appreciate any and all help.

Agile i thought you said last week that you didnt guess at diagnosis .
Or are you just trying to out do Bunnyman who is one of the top guys in the country regards this boiler

I dont make guesses at boiler faults unless the evidence is pretty convincing.

Its better to keep an open mind.

I am going to another Sine 18 today! The pilot is on and its running the pump but not firing up so it could well also be the diff switch but I will only find out for sure when I get there.

Today's Sine 18 was a bit too simple so an anticlimax although as I had limited time before the dinner party I was pleased at that.

It was just the o/h stat tripped because he had let the pressure go down.

Apart from that all the normal functions were still operating which is rare on most of these models which are very fault tolerant.

I repaired it three years ago and gave him a quote for a replacement then. I repeated the quote today and he seems keen to go aread now.
