I’m 35 years old and have worked as a printer for over 13 years. After years of redundancy frets and factory closers I have decided to change carers and have recently undergone training in Domestic Electrical Installations.
To date, I have completed; City and guilds 2377 Pat Testing; 2381 16th edition; EAL Domestic Installer Part P.
I now want to gain some valuable hands on experience. Although I do have some practical experience, and feel confident in undertaking most parts of electrical installations and testing, I would like to learn more, and gain more experience.
I am not necessarily looking for a full time position, though if one became available I would be very interested. I am looking to gain some extra experience
So if there are any electricians around Lancashire looking for a mate or a helping hand on the odd day or two, or feel they could just give me some advice on getting on the electricians carer ladder please let me know. Any advice would be very welcome and appreciated.

Cheers
Lee

You want to do C&G 2330 as well. If you want it quick you can do it by correspondance.

Phone up NICEIC and have a chat with their helpline people (they will tell you NICEIC are great, but they do give great advice and I believe they are doing road shows in your area at the moment? Also phone up City and Guilds, again very helpful people.

I am in exactly same situation myself, although I'm 36 (much older), but done C&G 2330 level 2 (3 next year) and will also be doing 2382 (17th edition).

I think 2377 is more specialised if you want to put stickers on everything for a living. You will also need to have a day course upgrading your 2381 to 2382.

May I also put out a request for any sparkies as I'm looking for the same thing in my area to.

For the record folks I am very polite, turn up on time always tidy up, respect people's property and have been renovating properties for last 4 years as a sideline hobby so pretty handy with tools and how houses are put together.
