Hi there,

1900 Victorian terrace. Back of house, north facing, in the side return, there is a corner that has never seen daylight (!) in 100 years, has moss growing on it, and is a bit damp. Guttering is fixed and nothing further can be done to roof/ pipes/ gutter - it is just a very dank corner.

Can anyone recommend a product to minimize damp here / have any ideas to make a bit healthier?

Thanks!!

please stand back and take a much wider pic, all the way to the roof, including the guttering, downpipe and slates

how long ago was it repaired?

Hi - see pic.

Given the location (north facing corner) I suspect it is always going to be a bit damp.

The failure to have a continuous gutter across the top of the wall below roof extension will allow a torrent of rain down the corner , far more than natural air movement can cope with to dry the walls.

shocking "gutter" and waste-pipe work.
