Hi,

We recently had a wall removed between kitchen and lounge. The space left behind (previously occupied by the wall) was filled with a cement mixture to level it with the laminate in the kitchen (don't ask!). There is a 'step up' to the carpet (see photo).

We're now struggling for ideas how to finish this.
We had considered removing some of the concrete, but weren't sure what to put in its place.
Any ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Chip out the cement/compound and add a bit of hardwood
You might find that hardwood skirting would work?
