Hi all,
Does anyone know what kind of floor we have on the attached pictures. We are in France, the house was built in 1973 and the floor is original. It is an ex council house so I don't think it is anything expensive.
When I do I reverse image search I either get limestone, marble (unlikely!) or travertine.
We want to clean it because all our neighbours have the same floor but much lighter (more pinky) where ours seems to have a dark haze on it. I don't know if the previous owner sealed it with something. You can see on one picture where we must have dripped something on it and the spots are lighter. I also put a picture of a chip as you can see the inside.
I have tried the usual cleaning solutions but don't want to go further if I don't know what it is.
