Help! Loft board support advice.

I am thinking of fully boarding out my loft in my new build house, however the builders stated that the loft wasn't built for it and that it might struggle to support the weight of it.

Is this the case, if so would I benefit from supporting it and how would I go about doing that?

What is the span and size of the loft joists, is there an intermediate supporting wall and what is this constructed of?

When was the property built?

What did your builder recommend?
