can anyone tell me where I can get a normal basic bath waste with overflow for my new rolltop bath which is very thick skinned. I bought a basic chrome set and all fits fine apart from the overflow cover bit doesnt catch the thread and do up at all (the bath is too thick) surely there must be one around with just a few mm's more thread available so I can do it up. The alternative is to pay mental money for a proper all chrome standpipes and waste palarver for about £60 - £150

Help please

I agree if I was having it fitted in the middle of a large bathroom where you can see all around it, but Im having it almost against a wal so I wont ever see the waste , tap connectors and lovely chrome standpipes etc

I just want a basic but nice chrome waste with slightly more trhread on the overflow bit than the one I have

Hi, That`s a bathstard one you`ve got there because all the overflow connections are the same...But in the old days the overflow was separate and went out thru the wall on a piece of 3/4 copper...It`s a long shot but you might find one in architectural salvage or specialist bath shop...point is the baths were all thick cast iron then...you could either go thru wall or fit something up to the waste outlet banjo
