Can anyone suggest a thermostatic mixer which does not cost and arm and leg? Of course the MIRA and Hansgrohe stuff is really nice but all seems very expensive.

I am looking for something that ideally can be flush fitted onto the wall of the shower with pipes buried in the studwork wall. The feeds will be from combi boiler. Just needs to do the job and be reliable!

fitted a couple of Ideal alto ecotherm showers on recommendation. Been really pleased with them. All brass construction and the back fixing plate is genius, makes fitting a doddle. Think they were about £90 including slider rail and handset.
