Can anybody help?
I came home to find that the boiler (glowworm) would not fire up when I advanced the programmer to ch or hw.The programmer is a ACL LS522. The pilot was still lit though.
I turned the programmer off at the wall and turned it back on again only too find out that no digital reading appeared. is it dead i thought? i then unscrewed the device from the back plate and took out the battery which was rather corroded at the bottom. I cleaned up the battery and put it back in and a faint reading appeared, however this soon went. I replaced the device on the wall plugged it in and nothing!
Would a dead battery mean that the programmer would not come on when turned on at the mains?
And why initially would my boiler not ignite when the programmer was working (or seemed to be)
Could i have a serious problem with my boiler also?
what do i do next?
