Help needed to remove connection on Pull out kitchen tap

Hi, I'm trying to disconnect the two pieces in the pic unsuccessfully, has anyone else had similar experience or something like this? It appears to be a kind of push fit connection with a button or lever to help release but cannot seem to do so.

Any tips on how to separate the items would be appreciated.

Try pressing the blue thumbprint size plastic in firmly......does it move?

It does move a little bit but the metal flex connected doesn't seem to budge. I do have a sore thumb now!

I assume there is some sort of knack to this, just haven't got it yet!

It looks pretty similar to car fuel quick release connectors.....however, some press in like Ive suggested but some need a thin screwdriver to prise it in the opposite direction to what you would think.

Try pushing down on the plastic threaded end while you press the blue plastic, it should 'click' release
