I am in the process of replaster boarding my bathroom, all was going well till i got to around the door frame. With the plasterboard up it sit flush with the door frame, the board i am using is 9.5mm. So i am looking for ideas to solve the problem.

Any help would be great, cheers.

theres a few ways you can sort out this not too uncommon problem.

stop bead flush to the inside of your door frame, doing away with the need for architraves.

keep the p/board clear of the frame and build the frame out to meet the boards, you can then remove the door checks and fit 3mm finished ply to hide the frame extension.

again keeping the boards clear of the frame, get deeper facings and router out a channel to accomodate the depth of the gyproc.

or taking it to the extreme renew the door standards to accomodate the new finished levels.

Done all my frames last year by adding 4mm thickness timber with glued and pins
