Help on my Triton Cara 8.5kw 240V

Previously my shower has been working normally everyday, but recently there seems to be something wrong. I was using it earlier in the day but when I tried it again later that night, after pulling the cord to turn it on, no power was going into the shower.

I'm a novice at DIY but any help/suggestions would be much appreciated.

Does the neon light on the pull switch light up, have you checked the trip in the consumer unit ?

Yes the light on the pull switch lights up but not on the shower unit. What's the trip in the consumer unit?

If the pullcord neon is on then the comsumer hasn't tripped.
Check the mains connections in the shower unit maybe a loose connection useally causes arcing and blackening of the connection block.
Make sure you isolate power before checking in the shower.
