Hi!

Our porch panels are discoloured (photo attached) and we want a short term solution to brighten them up in the meantime. We can’t replace the panels as the porch is over 20 years old and we’ve been warned if we try it may just all fall apart - right now we can’t afford to replace the whole porch!

We’re going to use uPVC paint on the meter box, can we use the same on the panels? Or will that discolour or crack?

Thanks!

Do you mean the door when you say porch panels?

uPVC to paint.....
Clean with cif.
Then wash over really well.
Scotch pads.
Wash off
Zinsser allcoat the lot.

@Wayners not the door, the roof panels of the porch - would the process be the same? Thanks!

Those semi clear roofing sheets will be polycarbonate and to save me trying to explain the process, read from this link.

I don't know the answer but your panels are probably polycarbonate.

Isopropyl alcohol might help. But that is just me looking at one of the first responses.

It's cheap enough to buy replacement sheets so replace it.
You could also buy some cheap white cladding from local plastic centre and cut and stick on with a polymer for now.
