Hello - purchased the below sliding shower door

http://www.bathstore.com/products/atlas-slider-1100-1992.html

It says it is designed for a range of "1075-1100mm if fitted in a recess (between 2 walls), or 1060-1110mm if fitted with an Atlas side panel".

It will be going in between two walls - and the gap tile to tile is 1060mm - which is out of range (we lost 30mm due to the wall not being straight). What are my options here? Is there any way of cutting it down to size? It cost about £350 and is out of return period!

A detailed sizing of the door is here

Any help is appreciated!

Is it possible to cut the channel down ? you would need to cut about 8mm off all four pieces if it is possible.

Do you have a local machine shop or metal worker. As Atgooner has said, you'd need to trim about 3mm of both the inside and outside wall channels, but you'd also have to get the header and footer channels shortened as well.

Alternative method is to chop out the last row of tiles, set in the frame, and then tile back up to the frame leaving a gap of a few mm, and then fill that gap with silicone.

Looking at you bottom link it looks like minimum is 1050mm.
Cant you just physically measure it and see if it fits in?
You may have to just screw and fit 1 profile to the wall then silicone the second one it will be the only way to fit it in

Well spotted Nortonj. As the door is designed to fit into a min space of 1060, that suggests that 5mm of the wall channel would be visible after the fitting. If you do a trial fit Atgooner, and the outer channel fits, and you may find you can take an angle grinder to the inner channel if it's too wide.
