I need an old switchmaster 3 way valve top thats still working - or does anyone know if there's another 3 way still made with 3 click in steel clips in the same position that i can substitute the existing top for and avoid disturbing old pipework?? or maybe one that's 'adaptable' THANKS

Andy - I am having the same trouble, but I can't find one myself. The best option appears to be a Drayton MA1. See following reply from Drayton Tech Help:

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the replacement of your VA1 midi
valve.
The best and closest replacement is the Drayton MA1 mid position valve.
The valve centres are virtually the same so it will fit into the same space
as the old one but the new actuator head is fitted to the top of the valve
body on the new MA1 style whereas the actuator head on the old VA1 is
mounted on the side, so as long as you have clearance it shouldn't be a
problem.

Good Luck
