Hi guys and girls, i was hoping you could help...

i rent a property and the landlords hard to get hold of, neigh on impossible,

we have a vaillant ecotec pro 24 boiler combi it works our radiators and hot water, we have not been using the heating for many months now but use hot water daily, we have not had any problems until yesterday, we get a loud high pitched beep every 30 seconds and it lasts for about a second its annoying to myself, wife and kids but to make things worse the dogs going mad! we cannot keep it from beeping i have read the manual all the way thru and nothing in there helps me i tried to ring their technical department but they don't do weekends, i have switched it off at the wall and it still continues to beep! i cannot stop it, short of calling in a plumber i cannot work out why its doing this anyone know? anyone with a solution? i don't want to use a hammer :o

Thanks

Carl

Doubt its the boiler, check the batteries in your smoke alarm.

hi, thanks

I have taken the batteries out of the smoke alarms and CO2 detector and its coming from inside the boiler itself!

im 110% its the boiler i may just need to call in a plumber altho it dose seem silly

Just an update...

got plumber out he took pannel off and ontop of the boiler at the back someone knocked an old carbom monoxide alarm down there i think the bateries were nearing dead.. must of been the landlord who live here previously, they didnt even know it was there...

feel a bit of a prat but oh well having a 2yr old and 6yr old i wanted to make sure everything was safe...

What a tit i am

i know some of you will say why call a plumber... but im not trained in these things and i wanted to be safe..

Have a good weekend.!!

Carl
