Hello,
I am building a deck resting on retaining wall with flowerbeds in front and to the side. The brickie built the front wall square to bifolds but the return is nowhere near 90 degrees. Over a 2.5m return the wall is 35mm off square, this is exacerbated by him building the ourside wall of the flowerbed parallel to this. I cant get hold of brickie to sort out, suprise suprise.
If i deck as is to wall it will really look off. The solutions i had was to cut back the block above flowerbed, approx block and half to soil, or build up the base coat and k render at the other end, or a mix of the two? I didnt know what thickness of base coat and k render you could build up it would need to be 35mm thicker at one end? Also because hes built the other wall parallel to this if i fix the deck side the flower bed will be 35mm wider at one end (its only 900 wide anyway) if i just try and build up the render it will be noticeable as the top of the far wall is showing, if i want to cut the wall as well to even up its a heigh tof 1200mm a big job. Any suggestions appreciated.
