Hi

I'm new here so first of all, high all :)

I have some serious sounding problems with my Baxi 105e boiler. When it lights up, for either heating or hot water, it makes a loud groaning/scraping noise. My immdiate thought was the pump, but if I'm honest it sounds more like the noise is coming from the boiler area itself rather than below it where the pumb is. now it seems also, after bening alite for a few minutes the gas is going out and the noise all but stopping. It then seems to refuse to light at all, will come back on after a few minutes, only to cut out again.

When the boiler is alight, the flame looks strong and clean.

If any one could help by providing any advice about what this could be, I'd be really greatful.

Many thanks in advance

Andrew

could be the fan at the top inside combustion chamber. you need a corgi guy.

Hi Fitz,

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm guessing despite the obvious requirement for specalist help, a fault fan, if indeed that's what it is, shouldn't be too expensive? I hope not! :)

Thanks again...
