Hi Everyone, the cold tap supply to our upstairs bathroom sink, shower and bath is blocked and is coming out in only a trickle. The pipes from the loft water tank were blocked by some pieces of wood that came from our old tank. The offending tank has since been replaced.
We thought the pipes would gradually become unblocked over time but over year on and we're still in the same awful situation.
.
We're absolutely desperate now and I'm also living in constant pain and this situation is just making things even more intense for all of us.
Any ideas of how to clear these block pipes would be so greatly appreciated. It would mean the world to me to get this sorted out.
My partner read that we could drain the tank and then fill the pipes (via the tank) with vinegar which is then left to sit in the pipes (going to the sink shower and bath) overnight.
I'm not sure if this will be powerful enough to break down pieces of wood overnight. The only thing going in our favour is that the wood has now been there for some time and so should be easier to break down now although it hasn't done so already. But I know vinegar is a powerful corrosive so who knows.
If anyone has any thoughts please share, you'll make a mermaid out of water so happy.
Many thanks for reading
