Hi Guys
Bit of background
I'm an electrician by trade but i have only ever really been involved in commercial and industrial installations. I have been asked by a friend to wire her central heating. She has had bother getting the sparky that did the rewire of the house back to finish everything.

at the moment to get her central heating working she has a spur in the house that is connected directly to the boiler.

As I'm new to this i don't know what type of system is installed but from what i can see there are any amount of different central heating systems.

I'll describe what i have to work with and hopefully someone will point me in the right direction.
All radiators have their own stats.
Three motorised valves (downstairs, upstairs and water)
A cylinder stat
A three channel Time switch
and a boiler located outside.

There has been no control wiring installed as yet but the consumer unit and timeswitch is located directly below the hotpress so there will be no problem running cables.

Also would i be able to pick up a diy guide from WH Smith or Easons? Do they have these types of manuals?

Thanks in advance for your help.
Matt

Visit the Honeywell site and search for 'S' plan.

This will give you a detailed wiring diagram for 1 heating and 1 hW zone valve, all you need to do is follow this and add an extra zone valve to work with your 3 channel programmer.

a sstem bypass is usually installed in a boiler nowadays. otherwise he'll need to add piping to the circuit, andinstalled an automatic bypass valve on that circuit.

Visit the Honeywell site and search for 'S' plan.

Honeywell's UK site is a bit useless at present; so here are the diagrams.
