Hi,

I'm planning on installing some MDF tongue and groove effect panelling onto the bottom half of the wall, below dado rail, in my hall, stairs & landing. I already have a dado rail and skirting and I'm planning on not removing these if possible. I have a few questions:

1. Does anybody know the best place to get sheets of T&G effect MDF panelling, preferably 6mm or thinner?

2. The bottom of the dado rail is only 2-3mm thick, meaning 6mm panelling will not join nicely to the dado. How could I overcome this without removing the dado?

3. Am I doing the right thing!?

I'm a DIY disaster so will be getting a carpenter mate to help me out with this...

Thanks all,
David
