Hi im rob and new to this forum and looking for help

Im having trouble with my heating system loosing pressure ive checked all pressure releif valves for leaks and even put bags over the ends to catch anythng but its all bone dry including the tundish, i keep tooping it up via the filling loop but it just goes down i have no visable signs of a leak anywhere in the house ive checked all the rads and pipes.

its a classic 350ff boiler hooked upto a heatra sadia megaflow cl145 cylinder its recently had two new honey well zone valves a 8bar pressure releif valve due to it leaking all work was carried out by a good local firm local to myself (Hull).

I thought that maybe the coil in the megaflow might be leaking and thats why i dont have a leak in the house.......

any help would be greatfull and pointers i have my dadto help who is retired brittish gas but any work ill get the company back in to do.

many thanks robert

Where does your pipework run in the house? I'm thinking in the cavity, but could be wrong.

How fast does the system lose pressure?

Does it do it on heating and/or hot water?

Check all pipework, visible, hot and cold, check EV is not rising, double check PRV termination, if you can see it, maybe in the tundish as you say.

Discount the megaflow leaking internally. That would over pressure.

Its not the coil that is passing or your primary system pressure would over pressurise rather than drop, it sounds like you have a leak somewhere, the leak neednt be huge , how fast does the pressure drop ?

pipes are in the floors

How fast does the system lose pressure?

over six hours the pressure is gone

Does it do it on heating and/or hot water?

i believe so

what is an EV please.

i constantly check the valves outside and the tundish

Discount the megaflow leaking internally. That would over pressure.

ok it was a thoughtfull hope

today ive put some fernox f4 leak stuff in but that doesnt seem to have work so far the pressure is still dropping all the time

after we put the stuff in he system and bled the rads i left it for a couple of hours running to get the leak stuff round and then i turned off the heatng and put the hot water on and when the zone valve opened the amount of air the that was been pushed around was loads it realy made alot of noise.

thank you
