I have been asked to lay a patio of blue Truslate paving for a customer. I have a query over the colour of pointing to use.

Has anyone laid a patio using these slabs and if so, what colour mortar looks best? I guess the standard grey would be a nice contrast, but I wondered about darkening it to a dark grey. Thoughts?

Ive not laid the truslate, but ive used their millstone in old london colour, which is also dark. I pointed it up with very dark joints and it looked very neat. I personally think it will look better dark, but why not lay a couple and let the customer choose? (you cant get it wrong then!)

Yeah thats what I figured. I just wanted some suggestions as to what to show 'em. Did you use a dark grey dye or a black?

black, it always fades to grey (wasnt tha a visage song?)after a while

Thanks.

The customer is young and female, and probably prefers the modern look of a contrasting colour. We shall see.
