help with timber pleaseeeee

hi, could anyone please advice me on the best /safest way to fix timbers on an internal wall? timber is 6 x 2, im rebuilding a floating landing/ deck, seating approx 1.5 feet above ground level!
anyone help/ advice will be more than welcome.

I'm guessing he's using the word 'floating' in the context whereby it ain't fixed down to the floor or ground.
