I'm about to move into a new house which has a small dressing area, which has the access to an en suite, but would be ideal to kit out the other wall with a fitted wardrobe. As a non carpenter I'm just seeking out some advice for the best way to go about it. It would be attached to a side wall and back wall, so other than doors I need to know the best way to attack it. If anyone here has ever tried it, I was also hoping to continue the wardobe out to the other wall, around two metres width, to the other wall, the problem is it has a sloping roof. So if anyone has attempted this and has suggestions of how to do it and how to get doors for the sloping ceiling section I would be very grateful. Sorry for any confusion, a bit difficult to explain in words!

Haha, yeah basic tools skills, just not the know how of what's required really, as I've never build a wardobe before, and especially not one of this nature

you wont get off the shelve components for what you want
you need fairly advanced skills and tools for what you want i am afraid

your minimum needs a decent jig saw a circular saw a few chisels a couple off clamps a drill and bits then you could tackle mdf with the veiw to paint it

I have all the gear ready, im just after some guidance of what to fix to studding and piecing it together can I just use battons and what do I need to use for the corner that has no support from any walls

best way to plan it is decide what you are using for the doors[sliding /hinged]
make a frame to suit fixed to floor walls and ceiling
if theres an open end then you could fit a baton down the wall with a panel between baton and frame

You don't need any batoning if you assemble a free standing unit in mdf and then just secure to wall.[18mm mdf]
