hello,

i brought a scanner which had a european plug fitted. I cut the plug off and found it had two wires brown and blue. The scanner also came with a uk plug which i need to put on. the plug has a 5amp fuse in it and on the plug it says 8v - 250v. excuse my ignorance but would it be ok to attach the plug and use the scanner in the uk.

Not condoning posting out of forum, but in answer to your question you can wire a good old british 3-pin plug and just connect live and neutral.

Before you do look for this logo on the chassis.

It basically means that the device/appliance does not require an earth.
