if you use limescale they will desolve over time and all that acid will then get into the foundations of the house and disovle your house away
keep using the limscale then and watch the house price as well has the house fall in a few years.
I don't follow that. Until they're eaten away, the lime will neutralise the acid. But if you use peat which is itself acidic, surely there will not be the initial buffer of xx years before the acid gets into the subsoil?
I dare say there will be someone alomg who knows how many litres of acid a boiler makes per year, and how long this amount takes to eat away a kg of concrete.
