Need some basic info please

Installed 6 ip cameras and poe nvr

If i want to check each camera ie angle coverage can i plug direct ethernet cable from camera to a laptop and check via cameras ip address???

Or do i need to go through nvr???

If there power over Ethernet and do not have a separate power connection then connecting them straight to a laptop will give no power meaning you will see nothing. A laptop does not give power over Ethernet.

You will need to go through the NVR

You can setup the Hikvision iVMS 4500 HD mobile app on your phone and use that to set angles when up on ladder over your home network wifi.
