Hi. Is it possible to add a internal chime to this doorbell as it’s usless unless you have your phone with you all the time I can only find people have done it to the 24v ones as these run at 12v.

If it's the new 12v dc one then no you can't (well unless something as changed) the older 24v ac ones could.

No idea, the door bell itself does go ding dong or at least the last one I installed did that's the 12V model, within a second or so the smart devices its assigned to are all calling in and waiting to be accepted.

So not sure its a big issue, unless your in without a smart device with the door bell assigned to it. so you may not hear the external ding dong.

I let you know if I ever find a solution to the 12V door bell chime, not found a made to measure solution as yet.

Yer it does when you press the button outside but as you say if you don’t have your phone with you it’s pointless as we cannot hear it inside the house. Also can you get a surround for them as I think mine needs a bit of cover from the rain.

as for the surround I haven't seen anything, they are needed if you don't have a porch certainly.

I am looking at this, HIK do some housings for there video entry just not for this door bell.

What you don't want is to have sides come out too far as it will narrow the view.

Yer that’s the only problem you would think they would of already have something.
