Hikvision 8-ch 8 PoE 4K NVR - can it really handle 8 channels at 1080p?

I installed one of these for my folks a couple of years ago, 4 cameras @1080p - no problems. Can it handle 8 cameras @1080p or is that marketing fluff?

Should handle 8 cameras fine, be wary the size of the HDD. Having double the number of cameras will reduce your playback length
