I have connected the ALARM out on a Hikvision NVR to a Galaxy Panel Zone using 2 core cable and programmed the zone as 'INTRUDER'
I've set line crossing and done a manual test and the alarm is activated however the log (when clear the alarm) shows as a TAMPER Not INTRUDER.
I've fitted a 1K resistor in the panel zone.
I presume I need a second resistor somewhere to make it class as intruder rather than tamper?
do i just put another at the NVR end between the 2 terminals?
