Evening all, as any technician knows, we were once able to log into a Hikvision device, DVR, NVR, Camera, by just entering it's IP address into Internet Explorer and using the login credentials as required.
Alas, this is no longer the case, attempting to log in directly is a nightmare.
People have suggested using Chrome, Firefox, Edge using IE compatibility, all of which just don't work, well not for me anyway.
I just keep getting, from all, an error message.
Hik themselves give conflicting ways to achieve login, none of which work for me, or are that convoluted it's unbelievable.
Has the collective have any ideas?.
How hard can it be to log into an IP device without the dreaded 404?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers.

Its been a while but i can log in on most of them.

The issue will be the NVD/DVR/HVR firmware and there plugins, the M series don't need the plugin off top of my head to work under various browsers. Some options appear to be available on some browsers.

HIK PRO, appears to resolve mot of these issues, in that when on site and you view via HIK pro its relatively simple, however, if you are away from site you need a subscription to use HIK Pro connection or loginto your HIK pro and the customers VPN or Computer on site.

However then the browsers may or not need various plugins to make them work.
