Hikvison HDD replacement

My Hikvision CCTV recorder (DS-7204HGH1-SH) hard drive needs replacing. Not sure which one to buy - any suggestions?

Seagate skyhawk
WD purple
Toshiba S
All of the above are designed to run 24/7
I would look at the capacitors inside the machine first if they have a dome top …replace machine

No dome capacitors. Looking to go for Seagate Skyhawk - any suggestions on size of hard drive? 1TB or more?

That’s a really old machine …would be looking at a 4TB ….unfortunately the prices of all hard drives are sky high at the moment …make sure it’s new …check the date code on the drive

Bought machine 10yrs ago. Is there a supplier I should be looking at or just get it from Amazon?

Who ever you feel will honour the warranty ….
Example was paying £70-80 two years ago
Had some in May £105 + vat
Just had a quote from same wholesaler £144 + vat

Shortage on HDDs, prices are ridiculous, however you can drop lucky sometimes.

Amazons segate store sometimes have offers on, strange as some offers on Amazon business and not personal and vice versa.

Got some for the NAS but pre ordered as out of stock and they were half the price and only had a short wait. stock hit the shelf and price was up to full value there was about £20-£30 difference on 8TB between personal and business Amazon some days.
