Hisense tv suddenly refuses to play video from usb stick.

Bought just before Xmas, put a movie on usb stick (Mkv file) and watched movie, put few movies on another stick and it reported unable to play file.( mp4 and Mkv files) so put original usb stick in and now reports unable to play file ( the one it played previously)So it’s gone from playing any video file to none?
Any ideas?
