Hive-1 thermostat queries

I have a Hive-1 single-channel thermostat working happily in standalone mode (no app).
1) Is the programmed event schedule retained if the batteries are removed?
2) When batteries are replaced, does the thermostat radio link need to be re-paired with the boiler controller, or is the pairing remembered?

If you had the full app everything is stored on your phone, just make sure you change the batteries quickly and it will probably store the settings, make sure you use good quality Alkaline batteries, not cheap poundland ones and they will last a few years , you shouldnt need to rebind it, but if you do its very easy
