Hi I’ve accidently knocked out a wire out the Hive receiver. It’s a dual controller for heating and hot water - but where do I reconnect the wire that’s come out please? Thanks in advance.

What is that (what looks like a) lump of loose wire between 1 and 2,?

Be sure to turn off the power first. Then open the cover of the receiver - inside there are terminals with signatures (type L, N, 1, 2, 3, 4). Look from which terminal the wire fell (often visible on the neighboring or the remnants of the copper core). If you are not sure, it is better to check the scheme of your model or send a photo - because an incorrect connection can spoil the system.

Thanks mate. Yes power was off when I did it. I couldn’t tell which terminal it came out of but a previous reply was the correct one - terminal 4
