Hi,

I have a property where the previous owner has installed Hive heating, however has left the analog thermostat fitted.
It appears to me that to "hardwire" the thermostat open, in order for the Hive to work, they have connected the live and the switched live together.
How can i remove the analog thermostat?
Conor

Find the other end of the cable - most likely in a junction box or similar adjacent to the hot water cylinder, boiler or where the Hive receiver unit is.
With the power off, remove the cable, and add a wire link between the terminals that the red and yellow wires were connected to.
