Hive Hub for heating

Hi there,

I wonder if you could help me here please? I have hive hub, and do not have any smart heating installed. If i buy multizone kit, would i be able to control the heating?. I am not really bothered about hot water. I have hive hub already. What is the difference between the multizone and active heating without hub? Both contains the thermostat and receiver?
