Hive wiring for Worcester Greenstar Junior boiler not working

I was wondering if anyone had any advice regarding the installation of the hive receiver to the Worcester Greenstar junior model.
A honeywell receiver was already in place and I've just used the wiring already there to wire in the hive receiver.
Who ever installed the boiler didn't have the best wiring technique as shown in the picture.
I figured out which set or red and blue was which - I'm 100% certain they are the right way round
I have wired live to live and neutral to neutral
as I have worked out and checked online I have then wired Ls to 1 and LR to 3
on the timer it is set to permeant on
The receiver connects and lights up and will even light up to show that the boiler should be on with the switch clicking sound but the boiler does not fire up.

I have then reinstalled the previous honeywell module which is still working,
I don't know weather I have a faulty hive receiver.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Does sound like a faulty Hive. However, can you post a photo of the Hive wiring and the boiler front?

Assuming the boiler can modulate why would you want to install a hive that can’t modulate the boiler?

The honeywell receiver I'm replacing was only connected to a thermostat wirelessly. Our issue has been that our timer has broken and heading into winter a timer is essential with these energy prices and the added benefit of being able to turn on/off the heating remotely is useful.

I've attached some other photos as requested by CBW

I take it that you have the correct [Single Channel] version of the Hive.
I have just checked the receiver type I have and it is a dual type even though if looked like a single channel receiver when I bought it online.
does it need to be replaced for a single channel receiver or can I just wire it differently?

That's why it's not working the wiring is different.

Ideally you should have a single channel as the dual channel is for a system with a hot water cylinder. Personally I would change it.

However, you can use it if you want, but it will have a redundant hot water heating function

N and L are the same

The brown wire currently from the boiler LR [Live return] would go to Hive dual channel terminal 4 [Heating on]

The blue wire (which is actually is being used as a live wire) currently in LS [Live supply] should be insulated / isolated and not connected to the Hive at all.
