Hi all,
Upgrading my central heating controls from a Honeywell st669b to a hive system and getting a little confused about where a particular wire goes. Know what is needed in the wiring centre to remove old dial thermostat but there’s a wire labelled common in current programmer that I’m not sure where to put. As it’s bridged over to permanent live do I put it in there with the current live?

The wires move from the terminals of the Honeywell to the terminals of the Hive that are marked the same:

Honeywell ST HW NO (6) = Hive HW NO (3)
Honeywell ST HW NC (7) = Hive HW NC (1)
Honeywell ST CH NO (3) = Hive CH NO (4)
Honeywell ST N = Hive N
Honeywell ST L = Hive L

The links to the Honeywell L (1) and the Com's 8 & 5 are discarded, at Hive has these links already made internally for you.

Appreciate the reply, there’s a red wire that comes into com (number8) from the back. It’s this that I’m unsure what to do with. As it’s in the hw com and bridged to the ch com then again to the live should I place both these together in the hive L?

You're welcome you'd worked it out already anyway, but it's always good to check if in doubt.
