Seen SWA glanded off with BS951 clamps all the time in older streetlighting installations. Theres also a type of gland plate made where the armour is secured to it by means of a hose clip. Worse iv seen is 3-core SWA where the armour has not been earthed and has been taped up.

Rob, I don't believe that is such a crime if the cable is properly made off at the other end and the armoured cores connected to earth there.
In my early days, I used to use 3 core SWA to feed garages & connect like you have in the pic. Then, at the other end, the SWA would be glanded off into a metalclad CU, with a link from the banjo to the earthing terminal, which in turn is connected to the earth in the 3 core SWA back to the board.

the bonds are probably off the earth bar in the CU's..
No need to pull my mains apart. I know more faults with it than you could possibly spot 
The MEB is connected to the earth bar in the top left CU. Its only 6.0mm² and the water is bonded in the wrong place, but it still does the job

I particularly like this one. Must have been tricky pushing aside the pile of lighting electricians to get at it.
Are they Lighting pillars on unmetered supplies? A strangely large number of fuses all on one phase.
