Hmm. I think this cable is overloaded...

I particularly like this one. Must have been tricky pushing aside the pile of lighting electricians to get at it.

Are they Lighting pillars on unmetered supplies? A strangely large number of fuses all on one phase.

Someone went to a lot of time and expense to use proper enclosed equipment, then someone came along and shoved a bog standard contactor in there!!

Hi John,

Any reason why you like that one best?

No didn't have to push anyone aside lol, my mate works for the street lighting department at the council maintaining them. I saw him out one day and briefly became his "flip the test switch when i shout ok at you" man  . As i had my camera on me at the time i snapped a few pics cos its not often we get to see inside these mysterious cabinets at the side of the road lol! These cabs were all on the same estate (more or less) where he had a list of faults to attend to.

All the best
Dan

Hi John,

Thought so lol! Its weird why all the others have properly insulated ones yet this one doesn't, down to who fitted it and deemed it safe i suppose  .

All the best
Dan

Those pillars have the cables glanded off with the charles en direct CET gland where they use a hose clip and have a nut. We dont tend to use them around Cheshire although i quite like them as they enable a fast termination of SWA cables. Which area are those pillars located in ?
