Hello
Wondered if anyone could help me out, please bear with me as I am pretty thick.
I have managed to puncture a hole in the main water pipe, while digging. I've plugged it up with a piece of wood for now. On the pipe is written 3/4" I can only assume this means the diameter of the inside of the pipe as I have measured it at 27mm/ 1.6" I've found a couple of items online but I'm not sure if they will fix the leak and I don't know what the right size would be.
the repair joint here( 3 up from bottom) : http://shop.access-irrigation.co.uk/acatalog/Compression.html
or the universal compression coupler here: http://www.twsplastics.co.uk/store/...-27mm-35mm-universal-compression-coupler.html
here is a picture of the pipe
Any help would be much appreciated, I have called the water board but they won't come out because it's in the garden not on the street and I was hoping to avoid plumber costs if possible.
thanks in advance
