Hi,
Had a standard boiler, not a combi, fitted with it's controls over 15 years ago. Boiler make is ideal icos he15. Have a service plan in place. They fitted a honeywell hcw80 room thermostat and receiver. Over a month ago it stopped responding. When I turn the dial the red led light did not flicker when it went past the room temperature. I replaced the battery. No response. The next day I just turned the dial and it responded. Great he says.
Now a few days ago it stopped responding again. I have changed the batteries twice, left it for a few days and no response. Left it for a few hours without the batteries and then after putting the batteries back in and waiting for a while there was no response.
The receiver upstairs, which I think is honeywell R6660D shows a solid red light.
From my research I read that these hcw80 unit lasts up to 15 years.
Question i have is my honeywell hcw80 dead or does it need to be reset or paired with the receiver again? I read there is a button on both units you can press for pairing.
If it's dead is there a direct replacement for the honeywell hcw80 so I don't need to replace the receiver? From my research they no longer supply hcw80 new, plenty of used ones on certain websites.
If there is no replacement what kit do you recommend to replace the hcw80 and its receiver and who is the best company in Nottingham to ask to fit it if the service plan company will not replace the hcw80 due to its age?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Drayton do wireless theromtats.
There are usually a few variants, so pick the correct one. I have a modern Bluetooth one

Sometimes all you need is a screwdriver to replace if a standard wall plate has been used. Post pics on here before fitting new one. For confirmation.
And of course pairing. The setup will probably take more time !
