honeywell m/valve problem

You'll have to bung or drain the system. If you remove the plate from the valve you can sometimes free it off, or dismantle and clean.
Or you can buy another plate/ball moving bit without the head, ie lower part of pic:

Part 12612 or 3 there.

2 port and 3 port plate/ball parts are identical

cheers cris, will see when i take it apart tomorrow.
in the mean time,at the boiler ive got the c/h and the h/w set to off,the valve upstairs, the nearest one is stuck on the left[man]but if i turn the power off completly,it goes back to the other side on its own,the pipes going into and coming out of the tank are hot,so i take it i will still keep getting hot water and will the pipes stay hot all the time and is it costing me more on bills that way as the boiler is not kicking in therefore not using any gas, does that make sense

The replacement ball/plate is intended for old (pre 1987) valves which did not have removable actuators. It converts it to a removable actuator type.

Stiffness is usually cause by the 'O' rings on the spindle swelling. You can get a replacement Ball & 'O' ring kit; part no "272752A/U CARD".
